Speak naturally. Write in the language you choose.

Dictate a reply, note or draft and produce text in another language. Use translation with ordinary voice input or give it a shortcut of its own.

Choose the language you want to write in

Select Translate to in Settings and search for a target language. Ordinary dictation and the translation shortcut share this choice. Speech recognition preferences remain separate.

Translate the original wording or a polished draft

Turn Translate on for dictation. Leave Clean up text off for direct translation, or turn it on for polished translation. Check names, numbers and meaning before using the result.

Keep translation a shortcut away

Set and enable a Translation shortcut in Settings. It starts a new recording for translation, with its own cleanup setting, so ordinary dictation can keep your preferred output. Use the shortcut shown in the app.

Translate a saved transcript later

When the original transcript is still saved in History, translate it into another language and keep the earlier versions available. You can choose a result version to view and copy.
