Free voice dictation with text cleanup
The Free plan includes voice input and text cleanup with a weekly usage allowance. Core features are shared by Free, Plus and Pro; paid plans add usage.
How voice typing works
Sign in to Whispek and select the microphone you want to use. Focus a text field, start recording with your configured shortcut, speak and stop. Whispek processes the recording and delivers the resulting text.
- Put the cursor in a draft, note or prompt field.
- Use the voice shortcut shown in the app; the default on Windows is Right Alt.
- Speak a manageable passage and stop recording.
- Review names, numbers and meaning before you send or save.
Try a first draft
Example input: “Thanks for the update. I can review the draft on Thursday. Please send the latest version and the two questions you want me to focus on.”
Use a short, low-stakes message first. You can then adjust the microphone, shortcut and recognition language to suit the way you work. The example illustrates a workflow, not a guaranteed transcript.
Voice typing is for text input
This is a way to write, not a promise to control every part of your computer by voice. Whispek does not press Send for you. Some apps, protected fields or permission differences may prevent automatic insertion; copy the available result and paste it into the correct field.
What you need
The current app is available for Windows; Mac is planned. Voice recognition needs a working microphone, a signed-in account, internet access and available usage allowance. Background noise and specialist vocabulary can affect results. Add recurring terms to your dictionary and read the finished text.
Voice typing, dictation and speech to text
Speech to text describes converting speech into written words. Voice typing, or dictation, uses that conversion to write into a text field. Whispek focuses on your own spoken drafts; it is not a meeting bot or a promise to operate your computer by voice.
