For notes and first drafts

Catch the thought before you polish the sentence.

Capture a thought in Notion or the writing app you already use. Dictate one short passage into a compatible text field, or copy the resulting text there, then organize the note in your own way.

Dictate a note for Notion or a text editor

Create a page or open an editable paragraph, and place the cursor where the note should go. Start with one idea: the point to remember, its supporting detail and your next action.

Stop and review the passage before continuing. If Notion or another editor does not accept automatic insertion, copy the result from Whispek and paste it into the intended block. Add headings and lists with the editor’s normal controls; saying a heading is not a command to create a particular block.

A project recap you can dictate

Example: “Project recap. The new onboarding draft is ready. We still need the final screenshots and a decision on the welcome email. My next step is to ask Maya for the screenshots and prepare two email options.”

After dictation, turn that passage into a heading and action list in your notes app. If you want AI to propose the structure, send a separate request to the assistant.

Separate capture from editing

Capture a passage, then read the prepared text and shape it in your notes app. Text cleanup can improve readability, but it does not verify facts or turn a spoken note into a reliable source. Keep your references separate from your own recollection.

Treat history as a recovery aid

Saved voice records can help you revisit a recent recording or text. The default voice history retains 50 records, and retention is adjustable. It is local history, not a cloud backup or a substitute for saving important notes in your own files.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things worth knowing.

Visit the help center
Can I dictate a long document?

You can build a document from spoken passages. For work you need to preserve, save the result in your writing app as you go instead of relying on one long recording or local history alone.

Does this create automatic meeting minutes?

This page describes dictating your own notes or recap. It does not promise automatic meeting capture, speaker labels or attendance tracking.

Does this need a Notion integration?

No. The workflow uses a compatible text field or copy and paste. It does not connect to your Notion workspace or automatically create pages and databases.
